The First mixed-use tower at Old Street
The Eagle, Shoreditch
Working closely with Sir Terry Farrell, Simon was lead design Architect from initial concepts to the successful detailed planning application for the first mixed-use tower near Old Street, later built by Farrells for Mount Anvil. The building complex includes nearly 300 apartments of mixed tenures, office workspace, retail, cafes and a fitness centre around a new public space. The art-deco and locally listed "Eagle House" was refurbished and celebrated with the addition of rooftop motifs, and the new buildings have a "contemporary art-deco" style, reflecting the history of their counterpart.
Simon Kaufman Architects successful experience of challenging planning applications and complex design will bring value and delight to your investment projects whether large or small.
