Welcome to an exciting project in the heart of Greenwich Millennium Village, London. Simon is proud to present his work as a team leader and senior designer for Taylor Wimpey and Leach Rhodes Walker Architects on cutting-edge residential housing that redefines modern living standards. 

Project Overview:

Simon Kaufman led the Leach Rhodes Walker Architects project team to create comprehensive construction information and specification for 300 new homes in a series of apartment blocks as part of the Greenwich Millenium Village masterplan.  Designed to meet new fire regulations and energy efficiency standards, this project also achieves Secure by Design "Gold", embodying a harmonious blend of innovation, sustainability, and functionality.

Sustainable Excellence:

Our commitment to sustainability is evident through the incorporation of high levels of insulation and energy efficicent measures to meet all new Building Regulations. The building showcases an array of lightweight, environmentally friendly, and durable materials, ensuring a lower carbon footprint and energy-efficient operations. We've meticulously aligned the design with Part L (conservation of fuel and power), Part O (overheating), providing an environmentally responsible, forward-thinking workspace.

Residential Design:

Practicality and buildability is key in the contemporary apartments. The innovative design features floor plansdesigned around resident's needs. A spacious living areas enhance bedrooms and circulation that is fully compliant with Nationally Described Space Standards and Building Regulations Part M 4(2) wheelchair accessibl Homes. the entrance lobbies, landscaping and communal areas facilitate a welcoming community and inviting atmosphere.

Cyclist-Friendly and Inclusive:

With modern lifestyles in mind,the building integrates secure cycle storage, to the latest London Cycle Design Standards, promoting  healthy lifestyles and sustainable daily travel.  Our dedication to inclusivity extends beyond standard regulations, fully complying with Greenwich's rigorous wheelchair access standards, exceeding Building Regulations Part M.

Refinement and Approval:

Our commitment to excellence extends to every aspect of the project. To ensure the most cost-effective and construction-ready design, Simon Kaufman skillfully presented changes as  "non-material amendments" to the original planning approval. This transformative refinement elevates the project to meet the highest industry standards.
