Southbury Road Redevelopment: Evolving Urban Spaces in Enfield
Southbury Road, Enfield, London, UK
Our Southbury Road Redevelopment project proposed a seven-storey mixed-use building at the heart of the emerging "Colosseum Park" neighbourhood in Enfield, transforming existing office and employment land into a vibrant combination of commercial and residential uses. The design featured 35 high-quality apartments above flexible ground and first-floor workspace, blending modern living with active employment spaces.
The project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex mixed-use schemes that integrate sustainability, functionality, and community-focused urban design.
Key design highlights included biodiverse green roofs with photovoltaic cells, compliance with the latest fire safety standards for mixed-use developments, and fully accessible cycle storage meeting London Cycle Design Standards. The building optimised natural site topography to avoid costly basements while providing semi-basement parking, adding practical value for occupiers.
Though the scheme's residential component was refused, the comprehensive technical work and design flexibility position this site well for future commercial or alternative uses aligned with local policy.
This project reflects our commitment to innovative, policy-responsive urban redevelopment and our capability to pivot proposals in line with planning feedback to deliver sustainable, high-quality spaces.
