Tudor Park Pavilion: Heritage-Led Community Renewal

Tudor Park Pavillion, Barnet, London, UK

Simon Kaufman Architects is working in partnership with the Barnet Society and the Friends of Tudor Park Pavilion to restore and revive this historic community landmark in Barnet.

Once a dilapidated cricket pavilion facing structural decline, the building is now at the heart of a local initiative to bring it back into community use. As a trustee of the charity leading the project, Simon Kaufman is directly involved in shaping its future—both architecturally and strategically.

We are currently negotiating a lease with Barnet Council to secure long-term stewardship of the building. Alongside this, we are preparing detailed architectural proposals, a phased refurbishment strategy, and supporting the development of a viable operating model to ensure the pavilion's future as a community-run facility.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to socially driven architecture—preserving local heritage while enabling public use and civic pride.
